Youth Initiative

 

• Will provide a welcoming and safe environment where GLBT and questioning youth can meet to engage in social activities, educational programs and peer support groups.

• Hoping to kick-start the Youth Initiative, the Board of Trustees has authorized several of its members to develop a comprehensive plan for the establishment of a youth peer support group.

 

• Drawing from resources provided by the National Association of LGBT Community Centers, the National Youth Advocacy Coalition and other, already-established gay youth advocacy and support organizations this group hopes to have the plan ready for Board review in 2008.

 

• First teenager's meetings begin on Monday, July 14 and following second Monday's at the Community Health Center, 1301 Main Street, Asbury Park.
